I will never claim to be an SEO expert, but when working with independent clients, one of the most common questions I get asked is “How do I get my site to show up higher on Google?”
The answer to that question is never a simple and straightforward one. It is highly dependent on a number of factors unique to the client and their website. So, further digging is required. And almost always, improvements in ranking happen after research and iterative improvement.
That being said, there are quite a few best practices for small, independent businesses. These are the things that I wanted to communicate in this book.
